A Solution Focussed Approach for School Staff

Date: Thu, 7th Sep 2023 - Mon, 20th May 2024

Venue: Online via Zoom

Solution Focus is a well-evidenced approach that compliments your existing practice.

Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) training and supervision is proven to have a positive impact on health, education and social care professionals, both personally and in their working lives. Professionals describe being more effective, even sometimes having breakthroughs with challenging clients. They also report feeling more relaxed and fulfilled, and less burdened, because of working in a solution focused way.

The tools we will discuss help you to help children focus on the future and work out step-by-step ways they can use their own resources to build confidence and take daily actions to be the best version of themselves.
Solution Focus approach helps you to help children focus on, and identify more strongly with their strengths, and simply put, do more of the things that make lifework out well.

Solution Focus is about helping children to work out for themselves what they are already doing that works out well for them AND the school, then do more of it. It is about future goals, however small, and getting good at spotting changes in the right direction.

Solution focus is very infectious and this is great because children need lots and lots of positive reinforcement in order to change stuck, unhelpful thoughts and behaviours. You will find yourself seeing exceptions to the rule more easily and helping children see themselves differently as a result.
Solution focus is NOT about past mistakes or reputations that can hold children back and trap them in a self-fulfilling pattern of thoughts, beliefs and behaviours.
Interested? Then we'd love to meet you and help you add a solution focus approach to your existing toolkit. Places are limited so sign up soon.
