Healthy Schools Plus

Healthy Schools Plus

As part of the Leicestershire Healthy Schools Programme, Public Health have created a range of programmes to offer targeted support to all schools to help them meet the health and wellbeing needs of the school community.

Leicestershire & Rutland Schools should participate in programmes that will provide the most benefit to their school community. Identifying health and wellbeing needs within the school can be challenging – schools requiring support with this should contact the Leicestershire Healthy Schools programme officers who can recommend programmes to meet the schools need.

Through participation and completion of a Public Health Programme, schools will qualify for the Healthy Schools Plus award – this award further demonstrates the school's commitment to go above and beyond to improve and protect the health and wellbeing of the school community.
