Wellbeing Education presents a practical look at ways in which school leadership can support staff wellbeing in primary schools.

The course is aimed at school leaders and is based on the following principles…

  • Prevention is better than cure.
  • The practical ideas are about school-specific changes that reflect the challenges and opportunities unique to life in school (rather than being more generalised wellbeing advice.)
  • The course contains many ideas that are useful to the individual attending, but it is also about taking a whole school approach to staff wellbeing, and implementing ideas to benefit all staff.

Mental health problems can start in early years, even if we do not see any symptoms at that time. Promoting positive mental health and wellbeing in early years education is vital. By doing this we provide a secure environment for young children to play, build relationships and learn essential skills, both academically and emotionally. We assist them to have the ability to handle the dynamics of different relationships and the resilience to face pressures and stresses growing up.
