Self Harm Awareness Training for Schools

This fully-funded CPD course is for schools who may come into contact with children and young people who self harm or at risk of self harming in Leicester City, Leicestershire County and Rutland.
Learning Outcomes:
- Improve knowledge and awareness of self harm
- Understand the stigma and discrimination associated with self harm
- Develop skills to respond to and support a young person who is self harming
- Develop knowledge of evidence based brief interventions to support a young person who self harms
- Improve confidence and competence to understand and manage self harm
- Understand the important of recovery
- Consider signposting to appropriate services
