Preparing for Statutory RSHE for Primary & Secondary Schools
Date: Fri, 15th Jan 2021, 09:30 - 16:00
Venue: Online Via Zoom
The statutory expectations for relationships and sex and health education come into effect as from September 2020, although because of the pandemic, schools are not expected to be fully up to speed until Easter 2021. Part of the reason for this delay is because many schools have not yet had an opportunity to affectively complete the necessary, and statutory, parental consultation.
This course will help school leaders ensure that they not only fully compliant with DFE and OFSTED expectations but that they also understand what is, and isn't, statutory. The course will also consider 'what works' in PSHE, different pedagogical approaches, and what CPD might be necessary to support the development of knowledge, skills and virtues to ensure the best possible comes for their pupils. We will also consider how all of this can contribute to staff well-being.
