Assessment in PSHE Training for Primary & Secondary Schools

The statutory expectations for relationships and sex and health education come into effect as from September 2020, although because of the pandemic, schools are not expected to be fully up to speed until Easter 2021. Although the knowledge components of the statutory expectations are relatively easy to monitor, assessing the development of skills and virtues present other challenges.

This course will provide PSHE Coordinators/ PSHE teachers/ healthy school coordinators with an understanding of the range and type of assessment that can take place in PSHE, develop their confidence and ensure that they are OFSTED compliant. Most importantly, attendees will live with a sound understanding of how they can use assessment to inform their planning and monitor pupils' personal development.
