Teenage Pregnancy

Teenage Pregnancy Awareness

The aim of this training is to provide some basic training around teenage pregnancy and the needs of young parents. The training is aimed at health visitors, youth workers, social workers, family outreach workers – in fact anyone who works with young parents or parents to be.

There are clear targets around supporting young parents to return to education and employment and a local commitment to engage with young parents. It is important that practitioners understand some of the barriers that young parents can face when accessing services and some of the behaviours and attitudes they may encounter.

The e-learning materials will:

  • Reduce the amount of practitioner time spent away from their place of work
  • Provide a flexible, continuous reference tool for staff

We hope you enjoy it and find it useful!
