Good Food for All: Policy & innovation round up – March 2015

Good Food for All: Policy & innovation round up – March 2015

The Soil Association’s ‘Good Food for All’ work aims to transform food culture and normalise healthy, good quality food in key settings throughout the life course. This work encompasses leadership of the Food for Life Partnership programme, and its extension to new settings; the Sustainable Food Cities initiative; and policy support for the Food for Life Catering Mark accreditation scheme; alongside campaigns to shine a spotlight into new areas and create the space for change.

Key issues this month are:

  • Ofsted to inspect on healthy eating and food culture from September 2015
  • Local leadership, new approaches: the Food for Life Partnership
  • Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM): funding allocations 2015/2016
  • Jamie Oliver’s global petition for compulsory food education
