Food For Life Autumn 2014 Training and Support sessions

The Food for Life Partnership’s approach to education has been proven to improve educational attainment, address health and learning inequalities, raise OFSTED outcomes, increase the uptake of Free School Meals, support a range of existing learning initiatives, and address health and wellbeing targets. Appropriate for all schools, it is creative, enriching and fun for staff, pupils and the local community alike.

Food For Life have been commissioned by Public Health team at Leicestershire County Council to support schools in transforming food culture. They have designed a series of free, hands-on training days and free resources which focus on all aspects of FFLP work including cooking, gardening and visiting farms. Free lunch will be provided.

In response to the feedback from training sessions to continue conversations and ideas, they are also hosting the FFLP Ideas Factory. Informal networking sessions for all staff, designed to support the delivery of FFLP within your school, share ideas and build links with other schools. By attending these free events you will also receive free supporting resources, guidance as well as a delicious afternoon tea.
