Leicestershire Healthy Schools Toolkit

You can now download the Leicestershire Healthy Schools Toolkit designed to help you ‘plan, do and review’ health and wellbeing improvements for children and young people and to identify and select activities and interventions effectively.

 

Congratulations to all those schools who have recently either re-accredited with a whole school review or gained enghanced healthy school status.

Recently 130 schools have re-accredited, whilst over 120 have acheived enhancement.  Many schools are mid-way through their work on enhancement, and we look forward to hearing their 'school stories' and awarding them enhanced status soon.

HeadSmart campaign raises awareness of the signs and symptoms of childhood brain tumours – fortunately rare but nonetheless potentially devastating illnesses that often go undiagnosed until too late.

This is a credit-card sized guide that lists the common signs and symptoms of brain tumours in children and young people across three age ranges. The symptom card also provides advice on what to do if your child is experiencing any of the symptoms, along with contact details for further support.
